Menu Plan Monday
I've been menu planning for a while now, and I can't begin to tell you how much it helps me organize our lives! No more getting home from work after an hour in traffic with two hungry kids wondering what the heck I'm gonna make for dinner. No more chicken strips and KD as a standby - although, we still will have KD and chicken strips because we love them both! I now know what we are going to have for the entire week, it's so helpful that I can do some prep work the night before if I know we are going to get home late. It has also saved quite a chunk off of our grocery bill. Now I only buy what's on the menu, and I also plan the menu around what I can get on sale, and have stockpiled.
So this week for the first time I'm taking part in OrgJunkie's Menu Plan Monday.
Here's what's for dinner:
Sunday: Sloppy Joe's (my kids call them Sloppy Joppy's or Crabby Patty's - from Sponge Bob!) with Greek Salad on the side
Monday: SlowCooker Salsa Chicken - New Recipe to us
Tuesday: Leftover Salsa Chicken Burritos!
Wednsday: Owen's Favorite StirFry
Thursday: Taco Baked Potatoes - New recipe to us
Friday: Beefy Cheesy Enchiladas (I don't have a link for this one, but if anyone is interested in the recipe I'd be happy to post it - very simple recipe and really yummy!)
Saturday: SlowCooker Cheesy Ravioli - haven't tried this one yet, I'll let you know how it is.
So if there are any real winners from the new to us recipe's, I'll let you know!

Awesome! I love it!
A friend of mine just recently shared her freezer meals menu...it's 10 recipes (some of them make double batches) that you cook all in one day and put them in the freezer. Then, 3 or 4 nights a week all you have to do is pop something in the oven.
Thanks for sharing...I'm always wondering what other people have for dinner.
You inspire me! I've been meaning to start menu planning for a long time now. Thanks!
How were the new recipes? Did the kids like them?
Great idea, Shan! Do the kids help you plan the menus, too? I find I still quite often cook for 6! Hard to get away from that...but I put the leftovers in the freezer so I don't have to cook every night, too! Whoo hoo! Gotta love it.
